Shoppers Drug Mart is a contemporary retail project designed to express the brand’s strong visual identity through a clean, highly visible architectural form. The building combines a simple horizontal volume with an articulated glazed corner and bold storefront signage, creating a prominent presence within the commercial landscape.
The project emphasizes transparency, accessibility and visibility. Large glazed façades bring daylight deep into the interior while strengthening the relationship between the store and the public realm. The main entrance is clearly defined and positioned to support an intuitive customer experience from arrival to entry.
A restrained palette of light exterior panels, dark framing elements and extensive glazing gives the building a crisp and contemporary character, while the red branded feature wall establishes a clear focal point. The landscape edge and pedestrian approach help soften the parking-oriented setting and contribute to a more welcoming frontage.
My contribution focused on the architectural development and visualization of the project, helping refine the building’s exterior expression, storefront presence, material definition and relationship to the site. The images were developed to communicate the project’s commercial identity, scale and contemporary retail character.
